Crown & Bridge Materials

Crown and bridge materials, and when we use each one

We make high-end aesthetic restorations in many different materials, from single units to full mouth rehabs. Here is the lineup and where each material fits.

Feldspathic veneers

Minimal-prep veneers hand crafted by our technicians in high quality feldspathic porcelain. Layered porcelain gives us control over translucency and internal color, which is why it is our choice for conservative anterior work. Our thinnest option, DuraThin, is also built up in layered porcelain. More on conservative cases: no-prep veneer lab.

Empress veneers and crowns

Traditional, beautiful restorations with esthetic results every time. A dependable choice when you want a proven ceramic for veneers or single crowns.

eMax press crowns and bridges

Lithium disilicate, and one of the strongest material choices we offer for patients who are hard on their teeth but still want cosmetic results. The RX also lists Lissi lithium disilicate and DuraThin Press lithium disilicate.

Porcelain over zirconia crowns and bridges

eMax or Noritake porcelain pressed or stacked over a strong zirconia substructure. You get the strength of zirconia underneath with layered esthetics on top. Zirconia crowns are a separate option on the RX.

PFM crowns and bridges

Porcelain fused to metal is a staple for strength, and our technicians bring the same eye for esthetics to these traditional restorations.

Diagnostic wax-ups, mockups, and temporaries

Every diagnostic wax-up comes with a prep guide and siltech matrix, from single units to full mouth rehabs. The RX also offers a digital mockup, a DuraThin wax-up, and PMMA temporary restorations.

Standard restorations

All of our restorations are available at a reduced fee for your more price-conscious patients. Ask us for details. Offices that frequently send standard single units or 3-unit bridges (Empress, eMax, zirconia, PFM) can request a calendar of printed return dates.

Not sure which material?

Send models and photos of any case you are considering. Mark will give you his opinion on material choice and esthetics before you prep. You can also call and talk it through.

Details that help us match your case

All of these have a spot on the 2026 prescription form. Send a digital scan or a traditional impression; scanned posterior cases cost less. Standard cases run 7 to 10 business days and cosmetic cases about two weeks. See Work With Us for shipping and payment terms, and Before & After for finished work. Implant cases are covered on our implant restoration page.
